A teenage suicide bomber yesterday at about 5am, attacked a mosque in Gamboru, Borno state killing his father and 9 others who had come to the mosque to offer their morning prayer.
A resident of Gamboru, Lawan Abba, told NAN that the suicide bomber was from Gamboru community.
“The suicide bomber hailed from Gamboru town, he disowned his parents and joined the insurgents in the bush. He entered the mosque blew up himself into pieces and killed 10 persons including his biological father,” he said.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) while confirming the incident said several worshippers sustained various degrees of injuries.
This is coming barely 24 hours after the Borno State Government declared a temporary review of the curfew time across the state.
The remains of the deceased persons have been deposited at the morgue.
